I’m Bobby Edelman, the face behind DFOP, and a dedicated Angel Investor based in the vibrant city of San Diego, California. With a dynamic career spanning several decades, I bring a wealth of experience, a passion for innovation, and a deep commitment to fostering growth in our startup ecosystem.
I was born in New York, attended university at George Washington University, and have spent most of my adult life in San Diego, a city whose entrepreneurial spirit has always inspired me. My diverse career journey has taken me from a Fortune 500 tech company in computer products and semiconductors, to founding an innovative streaming broadcast studio, and running a coil manufacturing business. This has led to partnerships with brilliant minds and investsments in groundbreaking companies that are reshaping the future of Life Science, Technology, and FinTech sectors.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege to invest in over a hundred companies, forming invaluable partnerships with established syndicates like Nufund (previously Tech Coast Angles San Diego), Interlock Capital, and San Diego Angel Conference, in addition to numerous capital platforms. These collaborations have not only enhanced investment capabilities but also created an impact within the San Diego startup community.
